Here is a list of tips to improve your fire safety at home.
Check your smoke alarms every month by pressing the ‘test’ button to ensure the battery is working.

Replace your 9V battery at least once a year to make sure your smoke alarm can work effectively.
When you change your clock back on the 3rd April, we recommend you change your 9V battery!

A working smoke alarm should be supported by a home fire escape plan that everyone in the household understands.

Keep torches with fresh batteries at your bedside for help in finding the way out, in case of darkness & thick smoke and for signalling for help in the event of a fire.
